Greenhills SAY Soccer Registration Underway for Spring

A note from Jason Covalcine, President of Greenhills SAY Soccer:

Registration for this spring session is in full swing and we have a lot of new things in store for all the kids this year. Go to: www.eteamz.com\greenhills to get registered.

Don't forget about the Adult Co-ed outdoor league that will begin its second year. This eight game league is purely recreational and teams are formed based on skill level. Check our site for more information. Games will begin in Mid-May.

Don't forget to check our site for the British soccer camp this summer. I know it seems far off, but keep this in mind. This is a great chance for your child to learn more techniques for the fall session. Last summer was a blast for the kids. All the information you need to know is on our site.

Pee Wees please take special note:
This spring session will consist of a regular game schedule just like the fall session in 2011. We will have eight games and practices through the week just like fall.

To all: Please get registered as soon as possible. This helps us better prepare for the session. Everyone on the Board at GHSAY appreciates your support!

Anyone interested in volunteering a little bit of time is greatly appreciated.  There are positions open for volunteer  work. Just contact me and I can fill you in.

Best Regards,
Jason Covalcine
President, GHSAY

Community's Priorities and Strategies Shared in Public Session

The Greenhills Recreation Commission held a public session on Wednesday, October 26th, seeking public input for one final time in 2011 before it sets priorities for the 2012 year. In its role as an advisory body to council, the Recreation Commission, has worked over the past 6-7 months to garner feedback from the community on the programs, facilities, and opportunities for development of the Greenhills Recreation program.   Shared last night was a preliminary planning document that included over 70 different suggestions, recommendations and priorities.  Wednesday's meeting proved equally beneficial, with the addition of over a dozen and a half new suggestions which will be incorporated into the Commission's planning documentation.

The Commission will use this information to finalize its 2012 recommendations during the final two sessions of the 2011 calendar.
